On May 7, 2016, the renewed moon was sighted from Jerusalem and also Ma'ale Adummim (located just east of Jerusalem). Today, at sunset, begins the 1st day of the 3rd month.

Shavu'ot begins at sunset on April 14th, 2016 and ends at sunset on April 15th, 2016

Rosh Chodesh (4th Hebrew Month)

On Monday June 6, 2016, the new moon was sighted from Israel. The moon was sighted from Jerusalem by Devorah Gordon at 7:39pm, followed by Gil Ashendorf at 7:52pm, and later by Kristin Mueller. Rosh Chodesh (5th Hebrew Month)

On Tuesday, July 5th, the new moon was sighted from Israel--though with only 1 recorded witness. In ancient times, it was by the witness of 2 that the rosh chodesh was declared.
