Rosh Chodesh (9th Hebrew Month of Kislev)
November 1, 2016
On Tuesday, November 1st, 2016, the 9th month of Kislev begins. The new moon was not sighted from Jerusalem yesterday (the 29th day), therefore by default, at sunset tonight, the month of Kislev begins!
Note: It will be interesting over the next few months in finding, once again, faithful witnesses that sight the new moon from Jerusalem on a regular basis. Nehemia Gordon has resigned from his position of providing new moon reports from Israel/Jerusalem. Therefore, we will do our best to research/locate accurate reports containing sightings from Jerusalem so that we can continue providing the new moon announcements on this calendar.
“And Elohim said, “Let lights come to be in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them be for signs and appointed times, and for days and years, and let them be for lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth.” And it came to be so.”
Genesis 1:14-15
