Shalom–
Good Evening!
This evening, I decided to check out one of Dr. Michael Lake’s interviews on SkyWatch TV. I have included the link to it below if you would like to view it. I was excited to listen to one confirmation after another from Dr. Lake as he discussed much of the same material (at the beginning of the program) as I did in this morning’s podcast concerning Ephesians 6 and the armor of Elohim (God)
Dr. Lake also brought up a book I had heard him speak of before but failed to look up. Now I have the title and I will be getting the book. The title is called “The Christian in Complete Armour” by Willam Gurnall. He was a Puritan and below are some of the comments about the book.
“If I might read only one book beside the Bible, I would choose The Christian in Complete Armour.”
—John Newton
“Peerless and priceless; every line is full of wisdom; every sentence is suggestive . . . . The best thought-breeder in all our library.”
—C.H. Spurgeon
“I believe The Christian in Complete Armour . . . should be in the library of everyman and woman of God. No Christian leader, teacher, pastor, evangelist, or Christian worker should be without it.”
—David Wilkerson
–so with that, I just wanted to send out a quick blog to encourage you to stay in the battle with the complete armor of Elohim. And as I said this morning and as Michael Lake confirmed, that the armor is nothing more than the clothing of Messiah on us–empowered by the Spirit of His Father to defeat the enemy. No wonder it is so powerful because it is the very character of the Son of Elohim in which we are arrayed to go into battle–just as He did.
We are in a war–and remember this as these words came to me the other night before bed. ‘Praise cripples the enemy!’ Stand up child of Elohim. Stand up fully dressed and ready to go out into battle declaring the high praises of your Elohim–the Most High over all the earth!
Shalom,
Derek
