Father Knows Best

Boker Tov (Good Morning),

It’s been a little while since we have posted anything. We are busy wrapping up our commitments here and moving onto the next phase within our lives. We just wanted to give Abba all of the praise for His faithfulness in seeing us through. It has been such a joy to be lights for Him lately. When you focus on simply pleasing Him, finding out what is on His heart, everything else around seems to line up perfectly. There is no striving, there is no stress, when our only desire is to please Him. Taking His burden and yoke upon us is not an overnight thing. It is a daily walk of laying aside the things we have drug around all of our lives for the simplicity of allowing Him to be a Father who knows what is best for us.

Find out what distorts your view of Yahuweh as a Father. Is it past relationships, hurts, unforgiveness or our own selves that believe we can do a better job at determining what is best for our life? I’ve been guilty of that; have you? When we give Him back the rightful position of being a Father, and we step back into our position as children, we can then live in perfect peace – every day! Is this something you desire? No stress? No striving? This peace cannot be found anywhere else, except in allowing Him to decide what’s best for our lives. Allowing Him to rule is so much easier than trying to rule things our self. I’d rather Him say, “WATCH OUT’, Derek, the stove is HOT, than finding out for myself the hard way. However, finding things out the hard way seems to be part of who we are isn’t it? Ask Him for wisdom. Ask Him for discernment. Eventually, we will get the picture, and realize that to simply sit and listen, obeying His voice, is much better than finding things out on our own. After all, who really enjoys getting burned…right?
