Shabbat Shalom dear ones!
We are looking forward to our beloved day of rest; aren’t you?
I wanted to share a link with you regarding a recent article I read concerning the famine and drought conditions worldwide. It is packed with much information – necessary information for us as people of the King!
As people of the Light, people of the Kingdom of Messiah, it is in our own best interest to ensure that we learn wisdom; much wisdom concerning the days ahead. Remember this – tribulation precedes Sukkot (our tabernacling with our Savior). Without pressure, the good wine will not come forth.
We are promised that IF we fear Him, IF we obey Him, IF we love Him with all of our heart, He will ensure that we will come out unscathed. It doesn’t mean we are immune to cuts and bruises along the way, it only means that when the smoke clears, were the last ones standing! I like that.. were the last ones standing.! Why? Because we have been good and faithful servants.
We cannot expect the reward of a good and faithful servant if were not willing to do the duties of a good and faithful servant. Lets be real… Yahuweh is a realist.. He’s a good King looking to run a righteous Kingdom. Do we have what it takes to dwell under these conditions? I should hope we do. For those who daily look to the Son of Righteousness – we most certainly do!
Spend some time this Shabbat reviewing Psalm 34 and Psalm 37.
The other day I felt a deep longing and a missing for King David. It was quite strange, but I was missing him as a dear friend. The Psalms are not a bunch of storybook tales filled with great ideas for bedtime stories to tell our children. The Psalms is the crux of the How To’s of living. King David wrote many of the Psalms though blood, sweat and tears; living the reality of every word.
Is Yahuweh the lifter of your head today? He has lifted our heads.. daily He does this and we are so humbled.
With joy and great love and concern for His sheep…
Derek and Rivkah
