See how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity –Like the precious oil on the head, Running down on the beard, The beard of Aharon, Running down on the collar of his robes –Like the dew of Ḥermon, That comes down on the mountains of Tsiyon. For there יהוה commanded the blessing, Life forever! — Psalm 133
I remember standing on top of Mount Hermon right at the border of Israel and Syria reading this Psalm. While I was hiking to the top, I happened to look down and see a piece of old rusty barb wire on the ground. I picked it up and kept it as a reminder that the borders that separate His Land will be coming down soon, and no fence, no dividing barrier will ever keep His people from roaming free on the Land that He promised to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. HalleluYah! This brings me so much joy to think of this.
How good and how pleasant… yes – Our Abba Father’s cry of His heart is for His family to dwell together in unity. It’s all He has ever wanted! Wow – think of that. The Creator of the universe longing for something so bad, that He sent His Son to redeem us from the bondage of living apart from Him. We are His family! Yes, those of us who have chosen to follow Him with all of our heart.
As I sat in the chair this morning while Rivkah and I drank coffee, we were listening to James Block’s new album. One of the songs is Psalm 133. One of the most beautiful songs I’ve ever heard, I began weeping because I could sense Abba’s heart in His cry and passion to gather His family together again to dwell in unity. As Rivkah got up to switch on the fan, she felt led to take the anointing oil, and as James sang Psalm 133, she anointed my head and prayed for me. It was a very tender and sensitive moment. It is this tenderness He wants His family to show towards one another.
I write this experience from the depths of my heart because I want to express to you the deep love of Abba for you and how He longs for His people to dwell together in unity. Please, dear ones, if there is any strife or division between you and other people, make a resolve today. O, hear my heart in this because Abba Father, if He does not find His people dwelling together in unity (the evidence and final result of the sacrifice of His only Son), then He has no choice but to destroy the earth (Malachi 4).
As I am reminded of standing on Mount Hermon, holding that piece of rusty barb wire that represents the division of His Land, He is longing for His people to let go of the borders that divide them. He will not return to destroy His enemies and return the Land (Ezekiel 48) to its rightful owners until first, the rightful owners return to Abba what belongs to Him – their heart.
Go and read Psalm 133 and listen to James Block’s beautiful musical version here. As you sit and quiet yourself and listen, ponder in your heart how Abba desires His people to dwell together in unity. In the passion and words of Yochanan’s (John’s) heart.. Little children, love one another.
Remove the borders that divide your relationships. Seek Yah with your entire being. The Master is coming and He is looking for you to look and act just like Him.. He did not die in vain, but died and was resurrected to call together a family for His Father, a family that He so loved that He gave up the most precious thing to Him – His only Son.
Are you willing to give up something that is most precious to you for the sake of another? This is true love.
Let your love for one another flow down like the oil upon Aaron’s beard and the dew of Hermon reaching to the place that Father desires the most – Mount Zion..For in this, there is life!
Go in Shalom today!
