In one of our miracle stories of our last 24 hours in the States (click here to read it), we shared how Derek had accidentally thrown away a $326 year supply of his prescription (we had the AAA card but no insurance…so the prescription was worth over $500). We did everything we could to locate the prescription—even had Derek’s sister call the rental car company to see if we left it in the car. We finally had the doctor re-write the prescription and hoped to get it filled cheaper in Costa Rica. We went to the pharmacy and found that it cost $70 for 30 pills which were not even the right dosage! We decided to pray and wait until we returned to the States on our way to Israel to fill it.
Messiah said, “Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them and you will have them.” Marqos (Mark) 11:24 “If you stay in Me, and My Words stay in you, you shall ask whatever you wish, and it shall be done for you. In this My Father is esteemed, that you bear much fruit, and you shall be My taught ones.” Yochanan (John) 15:7,8
Once in the States, we set up an account online with CVS and the refill was already in their system. We chose to refill it and pick it up the next day (they said the price would be given at the register). We continued to pray and believe He would restore our loss. Derek was working while I ran errands that day to get ready for our trip. I went inside CVS to pick up the prescription and there was a line. Everybody had been helped and I was waiting, when suddenly, this lady came out of nowhere and opened another register in the pharmacy. She asked if I was picking up a prescription. I said yes and after giving her the information she needed, she exclaimed, “Do you know how much this prescription is?” I said, “It was over $300 last time.” She said, “Yes, it is $326!” I said, “Yes, we do not have insurance.”
She then whispered to me so no one else could hear her, “Do you have a phone with internet with you?” I said, “Yes.” She said, “Go over there and sit down, type in this web address (she wrote down goodrx.com), and after you type in the prescription name and dosage, come back up here with the results from the site. You don’t have to wait in line again.” I thought it was really strange but I said okay and headed to the chairs. I typed in the website, entered the prescription, and changed it to the correct dosage and quantity.
My eyes couldn’t believe what I was seeing. It was a list of all the pharmacies and how much they would charge for the same prescription. Publix (a grocery store) had it for $26.55 with a coupon that the website gave you to use. I knew right away that this was Abba and Yahushua giving us back what we lost! I went back up to the lady and showed her my phone screen with $26.55 from Publix. She smiled and said, “I will put the prescription back. Just have Publix call over here to transfer the prescription. She even gave me the label so Publix could transfer everything easier. I thanked her and went to share the story with Derek.
When I shared the story with Derek, he said, “Let’s wait until we actually get the prescription from Publix for $26.55 before we share this with anyone. I want to make sure it is real.” On the way to his sister’s house, we stopped by Publix and asked to fill the prescription. Sure enough, they told us that the price on the website is just an estimate. I asked if they could call us once the prescription was filled to let us know the final cost. As we were leaving, I said to Derek, “I know this a gift/miracle from Abba and Yahushua!” The pharmacy called about an hour later and said, “Actually, the prescription is only $23!” It took us a couple of minutes to catch our breath. We were speechless but full of praise and joy!
We are so humbled by the way He has answered us and restored to us things that were stolen/lost! We are truly grateful and thankful!!
We made a promise to Him, to share our miracle stories with others in order that we might encourage others, exalt and honor Him above everything else in the universe! HalleluYAH! Recount His ways in your life…remember the small and the large blessings that only come from His Hand! Be grateful, joyful and content in everything…He will see you through…He is there and will never forsake you!
