The Hidden is Exposed

Finally, someone bought our phone charger. We had put several things for sale out on an internet bulletin board. We arranged to meet with the buyer at our apartment leasing office last night around 8:30 PM. When he arrived, he texted us and we walked over to the leasing office to meet him. Agreeing to purchase the charger after checking it out first, he handed us the payment. It was $10.00 more than the price. He asked us if we had change, and I told Rivkah about the $10.00 that was back at the apartment. She agreed to go back and get the change for the man.

While she was gone, the man and I talked. I asked him about his profession. He shared with me what he did and that he was saving up money for a ring so he can ask his girlfriend to marry. He said he is stuffing away a little bit here and there in a jar, so when he has enough, he can buy the ring and get engaged. After that, he asked me what I did. I proceeded to share with him about the ministry website, our blog, our work in Costa Rica, etc. I also mentioned that I was working on getting my photography business off the ground. I then shared with him about how we must put all of our faith, hope and trust in Abba, and by doing so, all of our needs will be met.

By that time, Rivkah arrived back with the change. I handed the man the $10.00 and he handed it right back to me. He said something like, “I like to give when there is someone with needs greater than myself.” He also asked for my business card so that when he does get married, he would like to use my photography services.

We were very humbled. After thanking the man for his gift to us, we parted ways. As Rivkah and I walked back to the apartment, we had to dodge all of the standing water in the streets from the apartment sprinkler system. As we continued walking, we were having a good conversation about what had just happened. We were pretty close to arriving back at our apartment, when all of a sudden we both leaped back. For right in front of us, near a curb with a grassy patch, was a long snake, quickly slithering away from us. It was near dark, so we did not notice it was right in our path. Rivkah had just crossed over that grassy patch earlier when she was returning from getting the change for the man. The snake very quickly moved away from us and into the bushes.

What came to us immediately was this: Abba is going before us to expose the enemy. It isn’t anything we have done other than our hearts desire to walk in His light. It is the light of His presence that exposes the hidden things of the enemy. As it was in Costa Rica, with two different instances with scorpions, which had also been exposed before they could do any harm; so the same with this snake.

When we returned back to the apartment, we thanked Abba for having a chance to meet this man, for the gift we received, and for His protection from the evil one. What had happened with the snake was not normal. I cannot remember the last time I ever saw a snake in the open like that. Even in our year spent in Costa Rica, we did not see one snake.

After going upstairs, I sat in my chair and texted the man our appreciation once again. Come to find out, he and his soon fiancé are believers and are interested in our blog site. That opened up for us the ability to extend to him an invitation to our home group assembly.

We do not completely understand why certain things happen to us nor the order in which they happen. When we decide to cling to Abba with everything we have, He will ensure that we will walk away unscathed from the enemy. The enemy is out to destroy the plans of Father for our lives, attempting to usurp His will in any way he can.

In writing to you today, I wanted to share with you what happened. We both want to encourage each of you to stand strong in Yahuweh and in the power of His might. That is, stand strong in the joy of knowing our redemption draws nigh. We are in for a wild ride, but those who cling to the unshakable Rock, will never be shaken. The enemy will be allowed to roam free on this earth to utterly shake the foundations of those who proclaim their trust in the Master Yahuweh and His Son Yahushua. The enemy cares less for those who already walk in darkness. He is after the set-apart ones who walk in the Light of the Creator.

The time of repentance is nearly over. Do not charge others what has been freely given to you. Make certain your calling and choosing, making every effort to remain clean, spotless, and blameless before Him. There is a big gap between now and when we receive the crown of righteousness. Once the dominoes begin to fall, that gap will become narrower and narrower.

We are called to overcome, yet will only do so by the blood of the Lamb, by the word of our testimony and by the desire to not love our lives unto death. The enemy is waiting in our path, but those of us who carry the light of Messiah’s nature within us, will we expel his destructive motives.

There is no fear of the pestilence that walks in the darkness for those who have made Yahuweh their refuge; dwelling in the secret place of the Most High.

From Romans 12, we urge you in the deepest of love to, “…shrink from what is wicked, cling to what is good…”

We go in victory today, for He lifts up our heads high above our enemies!
