In a world of increasing separation, there is one group of people who are becoming united more than ever – the body of Messiah Yahushua (Jesus). As the world calls for separation from each other in the name of preventing the spread of the COVID-19 virus, our resurrected King is sitting on His throne and deeply calling for the completion of what He began in John chapter 17.
What does unity look like and what does it mean to those who profess their loyalty to one Savior, Messiah Yahushua (Jesus)? In the coming weeks, we will look through the Scriptures to find these things out.
Remember, our outer is a reflection of who we serve on the inner. If who we serve on the inner is not the one who shed His blood and passed over us to save us from death itself, then we are serving a different god. We were created and built to house the One who spoke light into existence. He who cleaned our house from sickness, sin and disease is asking us now, ‘how will you maintain MY house’? We have a responsibility, do we not?
The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 6:19: “Or do you not know that your body is the Dwelling Place of the Set-apart Spirit who is in you, which you have from Elohim, and you are not your own?”
How do we normally treat those things that do not belong to us? With great respect and care. Why? Because it does not belong to us. So then, we are not our own, We are the dwelling place for the Creator of life itself!
Find joy in that! It will change how you see yourself, and how you behave around others who may be watching and who may not be watching.
Find rest in Him today!
With love and shalom,
Derek and Rivkah
Your picture mirrors the old expression “birds of a feather flock together.” As we flock, even in small numbers, together around our love and joyful obedience to our Master, His Presence grows stronger in us and unites us as He and His Father are “echad,” united as one. The remnant on the narrow path to the narrow gate that leads to life is small, but His power and authority is rising in each one, to unite and lead forth to do “exploits.” (Matthew 7:13-14; Daniel 11:32)
